Paperticket vs. Housecall Pro
Housecall Pro is a complete platform for residential and commercial service businesses: scheduling, estimates, invoicing, payments, membership plans and equipment tracking, with an HVAC-specific pricing page.
Paperticket does less, and it prices differently: one flat rate for the whole company. That gap grows with the size of the crew.
Stick with Housecall Pro if…
- You want estimates, invoices, card payments and QuickBooks sync in the same app.
- You sell membership plans on the estimate or job, and much of your work is residential.
- Your team is small and likely to stay that way.
Paperticket fits if…
- Your crew is growing, and you don't want the bill to grow with every technician or office hire.
- Your technicians work in basements and mechanical rooms and need to keep writing notes without signal.
- The office bills from its own system and needs completed work, invoice photos and PO numbers handed over.

Where Housecall Pro is stronger
Housecall Pro covers the whole customer and money side: estimates and proposals, invoices, card payments and financing, QuickBooks sync, and membership plans sold on the job. Paperticket doesn't take payments or sync with accounting yet. If you want one app from the first estimate to getting paid, Housecall Pro does more.
Where Paperticket is stronger
Price as you grow. On Housecall Pro's HVAC pricing, Essentials includes 5 users and each additional user adds US$100 a month. Paperticket is CA$199 a month, tax included, for the company, whether that's 4 people or 14.
Working without signal. Housecall Pro's help centre says editing without a connection isn't supported. In Paperticket, jobs already loaded on the phone stay readable, and notes, photos and completions wait in an outbox until the connection returns. Accepting a new call and sending a text still need a connection.
A note on price
Housecall Pro's pricing page shows different prices depending on the industry and team options you pick, in US dollars. The figures above are from its HVAC view on 22 September 2026. Check the plan you'd actually need on their site.
